About US
Beal Cattle Co. is a seedstock Angus producer (formerly) located in Glencoe, OK. Colin Beal, the owner/operator, grew up working with Angus cattle with his father, Dr. W.E. Beal, in the Virginia Tech research herd and their family's cattle farm. Colin received engineering degrees from Virginia Tech (B.S. '07) and Texas (M.S. '08, PhD '11), before returning to the cattle business - first working for large commercial cattle operations in Wyoming from 2011 to 2015 - and then founding Beal Cattle Co. in 2015.
THE PROGRAM
We are a 100% artificial insemination (AI) and embryo transfer (ET) operation that utilizes genomically-enhanced expected progeny differences (EPDs) from the American Angus Association to produce registered seedstock Angus cattle. We aim to produce cattle that perform well throughout the beef production chain (cow-calf, stocker, feeder, and end-product). To do this, we select balanced cattle with favorable traits throughout their EPD profile and elite $Value indexes.
